Description
A kid-approved fika snack or dinner-party delight—Scandi comfort in every bite. Makes 8–10 sliders.
Ingredients
For the Meatballs:

ground beef, pork, or turkey

cup
plain Skyr or Greek yogurt

cup
breadcrumbs or quick oats

egg
½
small
yellow onion, finely grated or sautéed
¼
tsp
ground allspice
Salt & pepper to taste
Olive oil or butter for browning
For the Creamy Sauce (optional):

butter

flour

cup
low-sodium beef or chicken broth

Skyr or light sour cream
Pinch of salt and white pepper
Assembly:
8-10
mini
slider buns or soft dinner rolls
¼
cup
lingonberry jam or preserves

cup
baby arugula, spinach, or quick-pickled cucumber
(optional)
Toothpicks for serving

Instructions
Make the Meatballs:

In a bowl, mix ground meat, egg, yogurt, breadcrumbs, onion, allspice, and seasonings until just combined.

Roll into 1½-inch balls. Heat oil in a skillet and brown meatballs on all sides. Cover and cook until fully done (about 8–10 min).

Prepare the Sauce (Optional):

In the same pan, melt butter, stir in flour to form a roux. Slowly whisk in broth and simmer. Add Skyr and stir until smooth.
Assemble the Sliders:

Slice buns in half. Spread a small amount of lingonberry jam on the bottom half. Add a meatball (and a spoon of sauce, if using).

Top with greens or cucumber and finish with bun top.
Serve Warm:

Skewer with a toothpick for easy handling and serve on a wooden board or lunch tray.
