Swede Dish Spring Puff Pastry
Description
A golden rectangular puff pastry filled with savory ground chicken, mushrooms, smoky bacon, fresh dill, and a light cream sauce. It slices beautifully for brunch, lunch, or a spring gathering.
Ingredients
Instructions

Cook bacon until crisp. Remove and reserve.

In bacon fat sauté mushrooms, shallot, and garlic until soft.

Add ground chicken and cook through.

Stir in cream cheese, cream, Dijon, dill, and bacon.

Cool slightly.

Spread filling down center of rolled puff pastry.

Fold sides over and seal like a strudel.

Brush with egg wash.

Bake 400°F for 25–30 minutes until golden.
