A Swede Dish take on classic Clams Casino featuring crispy bacon, lemon, dill, and buttery herbed breadcrumbs baked over fresh clams. Coastal, savory, and perfect for a summer brunch or dinner spread.

Instructions

Open clams

  1. Steam clams just until they open. Remove top shells.

Cook bacon mixture

  1. In a skillet cook bacon until crisp.
  2. Add shallot and garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Make topping

  1. Stir in:
  2. butter
  3. breadcrumbs
  4. dill
  5. parsley
  6. lemon zest
  7. paprika

Fill clams

  1. Spoon topping onto each clam.

Bake

  1. Bake at 400°F for 8–10 minutes until golden.

Finish

  1. Top with:
  2. fresh dill
  3. lemon wedge squeeze
