Instructions
1. Hard-Boil the Eggs
-
Place eggs in a pot, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Turn off heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes. Cool in an ice bath.
2. Crack Gently
-
Roll each egg on the counter to gently crack the shell all over without peeling.
3. Marbling Soak
-
In a small bowl, mix 1½ cups water with vinegar and a few drops of food coloring. Submerge cracked eggs in the colored water and chill for 4–8 hours or overnight for deeper tones.
4. Peel & Reveal
-
Carefully peel to unveil eerie, veined patterns like dragon scales!
5. Optional Filling
-
Slice eggs in half and scoop yolks into a bowl. Mix with yogurt, mustard, herbs, and seasonings. Pipe or spoon into whites.
6. Garnish
-
Top with extra dill, paprika, or edible glitter for a whimsical touch.
Note
Make-Ahead Tip
Marbled eggs (without filling) keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days. Add the filling just before serving for best texture.
