Description

This coffee-forward eggnog is rich, aromatic, and quietly indulgent — the kind of drink poured once dishes are cleared and stories start to stretch longer. Espresso deepens the classic eggnog base without overpowering it, creating a smooth, grown-up nightcap inspired by Grandma Iva’s love of good coffee, good company, and unhurried evenings during the holidays.

Ingredients

2 cups high-quality eggnog (classic or custard-style)
¼–½ cup strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
1 tsp vanilla extract
Freshly grated nutmeg, for serving

Optional (Adult Version):

2–4 tbsp bourbon, dark rum, or brandy (to taste)

Instructions

In a pitcher or mixing bowl, whisk together the eggnog, cooled coffee or espresso, and vanilla extract until smooth.

If using, stir in bourbon, rum, or brandy to taste.

Chill for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
