Instructions

1. Shape the Swords

  1. Using kitchen scissors or a sharp knife, cut flatbreads into long sword shapes—wide at the base with a tapering point. Be playful!

2. Optional Toppings

  1. Lightly brush with olive oil or butter and sprinkle with sea salt, herbs, or caraway for extra flavor.

3. Char the Edges

  1. Heat a dry cast-iron pan or place swords directly on a hot oven rack (400°F) for 2–4 minutes until edges are crisped and slightly blackened.

4. Make the Dips

  1. For herbed butter: whip ingredients together until fluffy
  2. For lingonberry spread: stir until smooth and marbled

5. Serve & Dip

  1. Serve warm or room temp with dipping options on the side. Add to a smörgås board or stand them upright in a mason jar for a dramatic display!

Swede Dish Tip

Great for themed kids’ snacks, medieval party boards, or Fika meets Fantasy feasts!
